This is their most black metal sounding album. Later albums started to sound like modern metal or with hints of djent influence. Great debut by the band. I love Dark Souls and black metal, so this is great!

Not gonna lie, I don't usually go in for the super composed, melodic flavor of black metal. That said, I'm thoroughly enjoying this release. Gives kinda an Old Man's Child type vibe.
